2/17 Meeting Summary

Tonight was our first official troop meeting, and we really
hope the girls enjoyed it! This week we taught the girls
about the Girl Scout promise and what it means to be a
Daisy. We also talked to the girls about the concept of
earning their Girl Scout Daisy petals and how they will
achieve them.

Wednesday, March 3rd
*Special Investiture Ceremony*
6:00 to 6:45 PM

On March 3rd the girls will have their Investiture Ceremony.
This is a special ceremony in which a new member makes her
Girl Scout Promise, receives her membership pin, and becomes
a member of Girl Scouts. Parents are encouraged to attend
the ceremony.

Uniform

We received a few questions about the uniform. The 2/1 handout explains what you need to buy for the whole uniform. For the 2/17 meeting, you only need to have the blue tunic, the yellow tab, and our troop numbers. The girls will "earn" the rest of the patches and the pins in
the upcoming weeks.

We are all new to this, so I included a picture that shows what the uniform looks like and what you need to put on. Click on the picture to make it larger.

If you need to get the uniform you can go to the Girl Scout store in Westfield or try Main Street Sports in Woodbridge.

2/1 Family Meeting Summary

Girl Scout Daisy troop starting in Colonia/Iselin area

We will be holding an introduction and family meeting this Monday February 1st. At this meeting, we will register the girls, meet the parents, and discuss the troop
future meetings and parent responsibilities. We hope to see you there!
